With Longitude and Forbidden Fruit revealing their line ups in recent weeks, we're already looking towards festival season.

However, there's another kind of festival that's caught our eye, kicking off in Dublin.

The Pizza & Prosecco festival is happening on June 9, and the clue is in the name

The festival will be celebrating Dublin's best wood fired pizza, all washed down with a glass (or five) of bubbly.

'Get your slice of fun while you sip on bubbles to a singalong sound track that's cheesier then your pizza topping,' reads the event description.

Each ticket includes one deliciously refreshing Aperol Spritz and a slice of pizza, as well as entry.

There will also be DJS performing, as well as live acts and performers.

The event is over 18s only, as 20 types of prosecco will be on offer.

You can register for tickets here.

Good news for LCD Soundsystem fans!

The iconic musicians are returning to Ireland for one more concert, after tickets for their sold out series of gigs in the Olympia Theatre evaded thousands of fans

According to social media users at the time, tickets for the gig were unavailable less than one minute after their 9am release time three months ago.

Tickets for three separate dates in the Olympia Theatre went on sale, and all three appeared to be sold out before 9.01am.

With any luck, their new venue will rectify this issue.

The band will be playing an outdoor set at Malahide Castle on June 5, 2018.

The venue has a capacity of 20,000 so hopefully this time around, no one will be left ticket-less.

Tickets priced at €69.50 will go on sale at 9am next Friday, November 3.

Set your alarms, people.

Homelessness figures have escalated this year, and data from the Department of Housing shows that the number of homeless people in Ireland has reached almost 8,000.

2895 of those are children.

'While the overall numbers in emergency accommodation showed an increase during June, progress is being made in relation to moving families out of hotels / B&Bs,' reads the report.

'At the end of March a total of 870 homeless families were housed in commercial hotels and B&Bs in the Dublin Region; at the end of June this figure had fallen to 638.'

68 per cent of those homeless are in Dublin.

3406 homeless adults accessed emergency accommodation in June.

'We have around 50,000 empty homes in Irish cities or 13 empty homes for every homeless adult' Pat Doyle, chief executive of The Peter McVerry Trust told The Journal.

'That is in an intolerable and deeply frustrating situation.'

For the last ten years the always-tantalising Taste Of Dublin festival has been a major date in all foodie diaries.

And this year the celebrations take place from this Thursday June 11 to Sunday June 14 in the Iveagh Gardens in the centre of Dublin.

As usual, there is a host of brilliant events lined up for the weekend, with everything from BBQ inspiration to a sushi master class being covered.

It’s not just celebrity chefs you can mingle with either: favoured famous folk such as Rozanna Purcell, Louis Walsh, Ryan Tubridy and Lorraine Keane have all indulged at the festival previously – so keep your eyes peeled for a well-known name.

If you like your A-listers with a little more culinary expertise, then the likes of Clodagh McKenna and Kevin Dundon might well suffice – though they're just two of the all-star chefs lined-up to attend.

And following a fairly awful May (we're calling it Mayember), here’s to hoping the weather stays dry because nothing says summer-time like a few drinks in the sunshine.

Don't forget that the Bulmers Bar is pairing up with the Old Spot gastropub for some delicious tastings, and that O’Brien’s is offering a “try before you buy” experience throughout the festival.

Caffeine-enthusiasts are in for a treat too as Nespresso will be on hand with a tasting lounge when you need that coffee fix. Seattle's Best Coffee will also be in attendance, so you'll be spoiled for choice.

If you really want indulge over the weekend then take advantage of JUST EAT’s exclusive waiter service. They line up for your food so you don’t have to. Bliss! Basically, it allows you to sit back and get on with eating all of the food. Which is what's important in life.

And while it’s technically part of the family fun zone, there’s also going to be a load of Minions running around on Saturday and Sunday. After all, who doesn’t want a selfie with a Minion?

Finally, the Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa is going to be scouting for some of the best-dressed attendees on Friday, so make sure your OOTD is on point if you want some incredible goodies.
