Don't you just hate when a group of university students decide to publish your diva-like wants and demands?

Well, if you're Jack White you do.

When The White Stripes singer charged the University of Oklahoma $80,000 to perform for students, he also included a few fairly specific needs and desires.

And the students wasted no time publishing these stipulations in the student newspaper The Oklahoma Daily.

As well as demanding "freshly sliced, high-quality prosciutto and aged salami with a sharp knife", Jack insists that the presence of a banana could ruin the whole damn gig, saying: "This is a banana-free tour."

Following the publication of the rider, Jack's people did some major damage control and insisted that The White Stripes star didn't actual write the list, saying: "Contrary to what some people believe, Jack doesn't write the rider nor make demands about his favourite snacks that must be in his dressing room."

Determine to get the singer off-the-hook, the statement continues: "We're not even sure he like quacamole but we do know that the folks who work hard to put on the show do enjoy it."

Good job, guys!

To watch him in an interview, singer Jack White comes across as one of the coolest guys in the music world; surely not one that would freak out over guacamole dip, right? Wrong!

It seems that the star was left with a bitter taste in his mouth after a university shared his tour rider demands, which included a very particular guacamole dip that was ordered to be prepared for 5pm on the day of the gig.

Indeed, so keen were Jack’s people to have the perfect dip that they even sent over a recipe for a homemade version, with some VERY specific instructions.

Finding the whole thing pretty hilarious, the University of Oklahoma’s student newspaper decided to share a copy of Jack’s ride demands online – a move which the Freedom At 21 star did not appreciate.

Indeed, concert-goers revealed that Jack had a good rant about it at the concert later that night, telling the crowd: “Just because you can type it on your computer doesn’t make it right.”

While it is believed that his main bone of contention lay with the revelation that he had been paid $80,000 for his performance, a statement issued later by his people drew particular attention to the guacamole dip!

“Jack doesn’t write the rider nor make demands about his favourite snacks that must be in his dressing room. We’re not even sure he likes guacamole but we do know that the folks who work hard to put on the show do enjoy it. By the way, now that it’s out there, we recommend you try Lalo’s guacamole recipe. It’s delicious,” wrote a representative.

All that fuss…over dip. We kind of want to try it now

Vocalist for American rock duo The White Stripes, Jack White, did something ten years ago that is only coming to light now and it is pretty epic!

Before hitting the big time, Jack worked as a furniture upholster, but continuously pursued his interest in music by writing and recording in his spare time.

The 39-year-old musician recorded a single with his fellow upholster and mentor Brian Muldoon under the name The Upholsters and then hid some of them inside pieces of furniture in 2004. And two have only just been discovered!

In an effort to celebrate his friend and mentor’s time in the upholstery trade, the quirky singer/songwriter actually stitched 100 copies of their track, Your Furniture Was Always Dead… I Was Just Afraid to Tell You, inside an assortment of furniture they were working on at the time. Jack, however, was understandably uncertain as to whether they would ever be discovered!

Well, the little prankster doesn’t have to wonder anymore because Third Man Records has released a statement, saying: “Recently Third Man Records has been made aware of the discovery of two different copies found by two separate individuals of the 2nd single by The Upholsterers.”

So now there’s only NINETY EIGHT left to discover!

Ooh, that man loves to keep us on our toes!
