Love is well and truly in the air this time of year, especially with everyone we know getting engaged. There’s no doubt Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding inspired many lovebirds, but unfortunately, we can’t get married in St. George’s Chapel.

Luckily, Ireland is full of stunning hotels that are bound to take your breath away on your special day.

This Black Friday the four-star Hotel Kilkenny will release 12 dates in 2019 to brides and grooms-to-be with a 20 percent discount on their entire wedding package.

Renowned for its attention to detail and premium wedding service, the four-star luxury venue which has been voted one of the top 20 wedding venues in Ireland and one of the top five wedding venues in Leinster is a chic hotel located in magical Kilkenny City.

For a bespoke wedding day, couples can choose between the stunning recently refurbished Orchard Suite with its private walled garden or the impressive Skyline Suite which offers majestic views over the medieval Kilkenny City.

In addition, a private drinks reception area complete with its own bar, an outdoors patio ensconced in a stonewalled garden offers an intimate entertainment area.

This one-off offer is available to couples who are planning a winter wedding in 2019 as long as one of the 12 dates is reserved before December 31, 2018.

The expert wedding team created tailored packages to suit the individual needs of each couple. In addition, a two-night post-wedding stay in the multi-award winning five-star Monart Destination Spa is also included in the Hotel Kilkenny wedding package, this alone is worth over €1,000.

If you're still struggling to think of a Mother's Day gift idea for your mum, or if you just want to treat her to a day out soon, why not try a spot of afternoon tea?

It's got that little extra special touch over a normal restaurant lunch – and you don't have to stick to just tea, of course!

Here are some of our favourite places around Ireland for a girly afternoon…

Dublin
The Atrium Lounge at The Westin

Try their traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches, cake and loose lea tea for €28pp, or have some fun with their Most Peculiar Aftertoon Tea for €30pp, a Alice in Wonderland-style menu which includes a "Victorian mojito" in a teapot. Fancy or what?!

Cork
Hayfield Manor

You can choose to be served in the hotel's bright lobby area or in the elegant drawing room, with an afternoon tea including tea, sandwiches, cakes and homemade chocolates for €27pp, or for €39pp with a glass of Champagne.

Galway
The g Hotel

This boutique hotel offers afternoon tea in true style, with an assortment of sweet treats, sandwiches and tea for €26 (€42 for two people), or the above with a glass of pink Champagne for €37 (€59 for two).

Limerick
Adare Manor

The old Dunraven family home is now a stunning hotel, offering an elegant afternoon tea for €28.50pp (vegetarian option available) or €37.50pp with a glass of Prosecco or Prosecco Rosé.

Belfast
Titanic Suite at Titanic Belfast

Enjoy live jazz music as you are served up a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes, sweets and freshly baked scones with clotted cream, plus your choice of a slice of one Titanic signature cake, cut at the table for you. Prices start at £24pp, and go up to £29 to include a glass of Prosecco and £34 to include a glass of Champagne.
