golden globes fashion

Jameela Jamil wasn't taking any risks last night.

Instead of freezing her legs off at the Golden Globes – Jameela popped something underneath her dress.

Forget the spanx or some light tights – the 32-year-old went the whole hog and wore jeans.

In a clip uploaded to Twitter, Jameela pulls up her pink Monique Lhuillier dress to reveal the life hack.

Although this is the first time the actress has attended the Golden Globes, she knew the weather wouldn't be kind.

She captioned the video: "An experienced woman wears jeans under her golden globes gown because it’s forking COLD."

Fans absolutely loved the move and praised her on social media.

"Just when I thought I couldn't love you any forking more," commented one.

"And that’s why you’re a legend," added another.

We have to say, we will be nicking this life hack – but we'd be more inclined to go for a PJ type style with an elastic waist for maximum comfort.

Last night's Golden Globes really covered all fashion extremes! From Emma Stone's stunning Lanvin jumpsuit to Keira Knightley's questionable lumpy floral number, there were some great style moments and some… well… not so great.

Let's take a look back at a few of the best and worst looks from last nights awards show.

The best

1. Emma Stone in Lanvin
Not everyone wore a ballgown – Emma looked every bit the elegant style queen in her sparking jumpsuit. Win!

2. Kate Beckinsale in Elie Saab
Kate played it safe in this neutral low-cut gown, but it totally paid off.

3. Kelly Osbourne in Christian Siriano
Kelly looked FIERCE in this deep blue number that clung in all the right places.

4. Lorde in Narciso Rodriguez
Another non-dress! We have big love for this feminine take on the classic tux.

The worst

1. Lana del Rey in a Quality Street wrapper
Crinkled = satin = turquoise = WTF?!

2. Dakota Johnson in a sequinned boob tube
Yes, it's Chanel. Yes, the top half looks like something we would have worn to a teen disco back in 2002. You win some, you lose some.

3. Felicity Jones in neck-to-toe satin
That high neck line is a bit too Downton Abbey…

4. Keira Knightley in a Victorian nightgown
Why the neck frill? Why, oh why, the neck frill? This dress took 30 people to make but we reckon we could have done a better job with our nana's sewing machine and a few metres of old curtain.

A special mention

Catherine Zeta-Jones proving she is the dramatic red dress emoji IRL
Some clever photoshopping by this fan revealed the TRUTH!
