This Saturday will see a celebration of all things French as the ‘French Food Fair on the Square’ arrives in Merrion Square.

The market will run from 10am to 6pm on October 11th, and will be held in the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland, at no. 63 Merrion Square.

As well as food stalls featuring everything from chocolate to charcuterie, the day will also feature speakers throughout the day explaining different aspects of French cuisine.

There will be expert speakers on bread making and cheese as well as two different chocolatier offering guided tasting. The day will finish off with a screening of the movie Chocolat, which will give you time to digest all those wonderful goodies.

The event is family friendly with face painters and jugglers on hand to entertain those too young to be entranced by all the different cheese.

Entry to the market and various talks is free, with an extra €5 to attend the screening.
