When men and women were asked about infidelity and which type of affair they’d prefer their partner had, the results showed a huge gender difference.

Nearly two-thirds of women said they would rather their partners had a sexual fling than form an emotional connection with another woman.

The majority admitted they’d be less jealous if their male counterpart tried a new position with someone else than if they actually fell in love with them.

Men on the other hand said they would be more hurt if they found out their significant other had a passionate affair than if they formed an emotional bond with another man.

According to Dr Gary Brase, the lead author of the study, “Males reported that sexual infidelity scenarios were relatively more distressing than emotional infidelity scenarios, and the opposite was true of females.”

When will men and women ever see eye-to-eye?
