Not too long ago it appeared that ladies (and possibly some men) the world over were completely infatuated with none other than ourselves.

Actually, to be totally truthful, it’s the Irish men they fancy. A dating and travel website, MissTravel.com has even recorded Irish lads to be the best looking in the world.

Well, tell us something we don’t know. If you haven’t exactly been feeling the love for the home grown talent lately, allow us to refresh your memories.

We gathered up a list of Ireland’s most eligible bachelors.

Micheal Fassbender

The Kerry-native is a BIG hit in Hollywood. We’re not all that surprised, what a lovely smile you have got there Michael.

Niall Horan

Our most favourite member of 1D. Seeing one of them is already set for fatherhood, it’s only a matter of time before the rest follow suit so we better get to tweeting this Mullingar guy soon.

Domhnall Gleeson

The 32-year old is not just a one trick pony; he writes, acts and directs. Bonus points for being besties with Brad and Angelina.

Hozier

That album; that guitar; THAT voice. Need we say anymore? Nope, didn’t think so.

Cian Healy

Not just a rugby player either. He also loves dogs and he's a DJ.

Rory McIlroy

The Co. Down local spent 93 weeks as the world's number one ranked professional golfer. That's an awful lot trips to Dubai, and Florida, FYI.

Dave Kearney

Brother Rob might get more attention, but we reckon Leinster star Dave is every bit as desirable. He seems to hold babies well too. #swoon

It doesn’t look as if this cold weather is going anywhere fast so this weekend we’re thinking a nice night in a warm cinema with some buttery popcorn may be just what we need!

Here’s what is coming out this week:

A Most Violent Week
Jessica Chastain, Oscar Isaac and David Oyelowo shine in this crime drama. Set in New York in the early '80s, the movie tells the story of Abel Morales (Oscar Isaacs) and his wife, Anna (Jessica Chastain) as they struggle to build a business in the corrupt and violent surroundings.

Mortdecai
Based on a book of the same name by Kyril Bonfiglioli and starring Johnny Depp in the title role, Mortdecai, and eccentric art dealer, must overcome many obstacles in order to retrieve a code for a long-lost bank account. Also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Paul Bettany.

Ex Machina
The second of Oscar Isaacs' films to be released this year (check out A Most Violent Year), this science fiction thriller stars Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson. An employee of a computer company gets the chance to stay at the elaborate home of his boss but finds out it is far from the break he was expecting…
