We've heard some pretty quirky methods in our time of finding a soul-mate, but this has to be the most elitist.

A dating app in Australia named Toffee Dating is exclusively for those who went to PRIVATE SCHOOL, and you can just imagine how posh the conversations get.

Sliding into DMs just got a lot more snobby…Tinder and Bumble clearly aren't upper class enough for these folks.

Lydia Davis, Co-creator of Toffee Dating, explained to 9Honey why the company brought the app from the UK to Australia. There's apparently a huge amount of privately educated people Down Under.

"In the UK, eight per cent of people are privately educated but in Australia that number is around 35 per cent. We felt that Australia would be the best place for us to roll out to first though as we were inundated with requests for us to launch there."

We have no words for this. Finding 'The One' is now about class, your education and economic background. Some app users must agree with the idea, seeing as it's lifted off the ground so quickly.

The website has some fairly divisive words to promote the Toffee beliefs and framework:

"Toffee is the world's first dating app for people who were privately educated. We set it up because we know people from similar backgrounds are more likely to stick together."

"Toffee connects the right people to help them find their match with our sophisticated matching algorithm taking care of all your dating homework."

An algorithm works to generate matches based on hobbies and likes, such as adventure, sport, nightlife, city life versus country life etc.

"The app has innovative personal interest and attributes 'sliders' where the user slides a cursor to show how much an interest in, for example, sport is important in their potential partner," the website continues.

"Secondly, whether it's a shared interest in horse racing or rugby, Toffee users can indicate which sporting and social events they are interested in or likely to attend, to further enhance the matching logic."

We're guessing it features a lot of chino-wearing polo players who love the conservative Tory party and probably got an overpaid job from their dad….

The hilarious ad for the app features ridiculously good-looking people (ugly folks don't go to private school, apparently) bonding over expensive champagne. They didn't stray too far from stereotypes, it would seem.

A new study by eating disorder charity Beat suggests that dating app users are "more likely to have unhealthy attitudes to weight".

Those who use dating apps might be at a higher risk of controlling their weight through laxative use, fasting and vomiting, according to the research.

The American study is based on a survey of 1,700 adults. Beat stated that dating app users at risk of these habits needed to be offered support in order to reduce the risk of bad weight management habits developing.

Apps like OkCupid, Grindr, Tinder and Bumble have grown massively in popularity over the last couple of years, with men and women hoping to find romantic and sexual partners through swiping.

Physical appearance is one of the main attributes which dating app users evaluate when searching for a potential partner, with emphasis placed firmly on a person's image.

The study was published in the Journal of Eating Disorders, with researchers comparing the behaviour of those who used dating apps versus those who didn't.

Dating app users apparently have higher odds of engaging in six core unhealthy habits to control weight; vomiting, using laxatives, diet pills, using muscle-building supplements and anabolic steroids.

183 women and 209 men out of the 1,726 people surveyed claimed they used dating apps. Roughly half of men and women admitted to fasting in order to control their weight.

One-in-three men in that group and one-in-five women said they would vomit to control their calorie count. 40 percent of men and one-in-four women claimed to use laxatives…yikes.

The research also showed that men who used dating apps were more likely to use steroids and supplements to build up muscle, which isn't surprising considering the six-packs constantly displayed on reality shows like Love Island.

The lead author of the study from Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, Dr Alvin Tran, said they found higher rates of unhealthy behaviours among ethnic minorities, interestingly.

"While we do not know if the people in our study were already engaging in these weight control behaviours before using dating apps, we worry that the use of these image and appearance-focused services could exacerbate those behaviours."

He continued;

"With the tremendous growth in dating app usage in the US, and an increasing number of studies linking their use to body image concerns and unhealthy weight control behaviours, there is a need to further understand how dating apps influence health behaviours and outcomes."

Tom Quinn, director external affairs at Beat, said they welcome studies which can help to identify triggers of eating disorders.

"Not everyone who uses unhealthy weight control behaviours will have an eating disorder, nor will they get one, but such behaviours can contribute to the development of the illnesses for people who are already vulnerable and can prevent recovery for those who are ill."

He added; "It is important to note that this research does not prove a causal link between dating apps and unhealthy weight control behaviours.

"Nevertheless, it is important that dating app users who may be at risk of eating disorders are directed to sources of support."

Lady Gaga has caused a storm after photos emerged of the star kissing her audio engineer Dan Horton during a brunch date in California last weekend.

The 33-year-old Oscar winner only recently called off her engagement to Christian Carino in February, and hasn't been seen on a date since.

"People noticed the chemistry early on, and now that she has taken some time to herself, she finally feels free to date. They seem like a pretty good match."

The Shallow singer was packing on the PDA in the photos, but Gaga is apparently planning on taking things "slowly" with Dan, who has worked with Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake.

As well as Christian Carino, Gaga was previously engaged to actor Taylor Kinney before calling it quits in 2016.

She gushed about her relationship with Carino last year, despite usually remaining private on her love life:

"When I went backstage, Christian was by the stairs making sure I was OK. The best part about being in love with someone is having them there to catch you if you fall."

She singer appears to have moved on, time will tell whether they're seriously dating or just having fun.

Now, we have to admit; This isn't surprising content.

Love Island star Joanna Chimonides has denied claims that she kissed Michael Griffiths at a festival last night, after they were pictured getting pretty damn close.

Footage emerged of the 22-year-old and the 27-year-old firefighter sharing a passionate kiss at Kisstory together with other reality TV stars.

In a set of videos posted to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, Joanna said of the images;

"It’s of me and Michael so-called kissing. I just want to make a point, we weren’t kissing." Well, the photos kind of disprove her claims…

The fan reaction has been mostly hilarious, as audiences predicted Joanna taking Michael back after he crawled back to Amber Gill on the show.

"There are pictures of me and Michael so-called kissing. He was saying something in my ear, I found it funny. Can’t remember what it was. I think one thing with me and you’ll get to know this the more you get to know me, is I don’t hold onto hate and negativity."

She continued: "For me, it’s been a lot easier for my journey and me getting over the Michael situation, is me letting go of whatever happened and letting go of hate.

"That’s just how I am and what I do and in the end, I’m happier and I feel so good everyday and that’s purely because I’m letting go of the negativity and anything that was upsetting me at the time."

Joanna also insisted that she and Michael are just friends after he chose to remain in the Love Island villa rather than leave with her when she was eliminated two weeks ago.

She continued: "It’s okay to be friends with someone you were with, it is okay for that. I’m friends with my exes and it is OK.

"For me and Michael, it was such a laugh being together. It was really nice and everyone had such a laugh. If I didn’t let go of that negativity I wouldn’t have had a good time yesterday and I wouldn’t be making memories with that Love Island lot."

While some of the fans are giving Joanna far too much heat, saying she has no self-respect for taking him back, others are simply laughing at her;

"Joanna you absolute mug," one Twitter user said. Another called her a 'dummy' and a 'clown' for taking back the villa villain.

Another fan rightfully pointed out that Joanna is now receiving all the hate that Amber would have gotten had she taken her ex back, who humiliated her by choosing Joanna after Casa Amor.

Joanna was adamant on Instagram that seeing Michael attempt to win Amber back after he remained in the villa without Joanna was "hard to watch".

We all thought she'd rip him to shreds on Love Island: Aftersun with Caroline Flack, but they seemed to be getting on suspiciously swimmingly;

Joanna previously stated that there was zero chance that she'd take Michael back, but apparently that was nonsense.

"Did you hear me mention a specific person," Michael told Amber when she quizzed him on saying "I've found what I've been looking for".

Of course, he ACTUALLY said "I found what I've been looking for and now she's leaving," meaning Joanna. What a player.

Michael became a national enemy after breaking Amber Gill's heart on live television, leaving her standing alone and loyal after his head was turned in Casa Amor.

His antics were the subject of countless memes (which we pored over for hours). It seems the pair are dating once again, but will his head be turned by someone else?

We reckon so. Once a chaldish man, always a chaldish man.

Dating apps are part and parcel of modern relationships, but sometimes tedious swiping can get a little old.

According to a recent US survey of 1000 millennials, up to 95pc say they would rather meet someone IRL than online.

Welcome to the world of Tinder fatigue – symptoms include deleting and re-downloading the app multiple times a year and casting your eyes to heaven every time someone says they're 'not looking for anything serious' in their bio.

While many people have met their bae on a dating app, for others, the incessant swiping, barrage of 'heys' (or lack there of) and absence of authentic potential dates can seem overwhelming.

Whether it's Tinder, Do I Date, She or Bumble, sometimes the process seems like a lot of swiping and messaging, but not a lot of actual dating.

This has led to a revival of classic dating techniques, from back in the day when people actually met each other organically rather than via a smart phone.

From speed dating to group dates, the late nought-teens have seen the return of dating methods that require you actually log out of Netflix and take a shower, rather than chilling in bed in front of a dating site screen.

For those who want to delete dating apps from their lives forever, meeting someone IRL isn't as daunting as it seems, and you don't have to take the Internet out of the equation.

Here are a few resources that could make taking the plunge into organic dating all the easier:

1. A Table for Six

While yes, this is technically a website, it takes the intensity out of meeting a stranger from the Internet one to one.

The site teams you up with a group of like-minded individuals all looking for love, and you could also make a few friends if you don't find romance.

2. Facebook Events

While this isn't a specific resource, Facebook is a great place to access events you never even knew were happening in your city.

If you see an event th interests you click attending and actually go.

It's likely that you will meet people there who have the same interests as you, especially if it's a niche event like a vegetarian cookery class of a feminist art opening.

3. Story Party

Story Party, held in Dublin 's Sugar Club, is all about sharing the bleak and tumultuous tales of Ireland's dating landscape.

You can write your favourite dating story on a confessions slips, anonymously, and have it read out to the audience.

While you're there to lol at the anecdotes, you may find yourself on common ground with a fellow singleton.

4. Volunteering

You can find hundreds of volunteer opportunities online, and committing yourself to a cause you care about has so many benefits.

As well as helping others and an organisation in need, you have the chance to meet other kindhearted people who care about the same causes you do.

This new social circle could give you further opportunities to meet people like you, who have a commitment to animal rights, solving the housing crisis or feeding those effected by it (as well as making a positive difference in the world.)

5. Get set up

Who truly knows you better than your friends? Get your pals to keep their eyes peeled for potential suitors.

After all, Megan Markle was set up with Prince Harry by a friend, and look how well that worked out.

Also, you can hold your friends accountable if they set you up with a total creeper, but presuming you have good friends, that probably wont happen.

Well, well well…what do we have here. Only a stunning new couple alert, and we've got the receipts to prove it.

Singers Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have been photographed holding hands and kissing in Hollywood, and it's damn cute if we do say so ourselves.

The pair have just collaborated on new single Seniorita, but have long been quashing those dating rumours throughout their friendship, always insisting they're just friends.

The pair have since re-ignited speculation that they're more than just mates after being spotted out and about walking hand-in-hand and appearing to kiss (though a pesky cactus is in the way).

The two can be seen smiling as they walk side-by-side, with Shawn looking stylish in a striped shirt and Camila sporting a chic black jumpsuit.

Shawn is holding Camila's handbag for her because of course he's a gentleman. We can't cope.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Camila and Shawn were heading back to his Hollywood home and when they reached his front door it seems like they're kissing behind a cactus.

An Instagram Story was shared by a fan account the day before showing the pair snuggled up beside each other near a swimming pool, with her hands on his back as he dipped his hands in the water.

Many people are questioning whether this is all part of an elaborate PR stunt to promote their new single, Seniorita?

In the steamy video, the pair get pretty up close and personal with each other as she played a waitress who catches Shawn's eye.

The scenes feature plenty of sexy dancing, rolling around on a bed and Shawn zooming off on his trusty motorcycle, leaving poor Camila in the dust.

What do you think, are they just pretending or secretly in love?

We've all been absolutely addicted to Love Island over the last four weeks, and it's reminding us how tricky the single life can be.

Especially when seemingly angelic boys like Michael and Curtis stab you in the BACK at a moment's notice. We're not over it yet, it will take time. To distract us, why not attend this gas single's event?

McGowans of Phibsborough host a single's party on the first Friday of every month from 10pm, and it's becoming a huge success for the pub.

Their next party is on Friday, July 12, and it could be the ideal spot to meet your perfect match and put a ring on it. Or just a great night out to have a few drinks, join in the games or just mingle with the DJ.

The pub have had so many enquiries that they've even added an extra date to due high demand, seeing as people evidently want to find that spark with someone during the summer time.

Whether you're just looking for lust or love, the party looks like unreal craic. They've got icebreakers in case you came alone, and games for you and your best wingman/wingwoman.

Summer can be a tricky time when you're single, or it can be the perfect season to have some fun with strangers. This event is definitely more of a relaxed environment, and you'll 100 percent have fun.

Entry is free of charge, you begin the night with a playing card and a free glass of Prosecco. If you can find the card's match then you get a complimentary drink.

Basically it's encouraging socialising through the handy means of alcohol. It gives you plenty of excuses to chat up the lad or lass you've been eyeing up the entire night…

McGowans do plenty on the night to calm your nerves and allow you to embrace the chilled out and fun atmosphere in the pub.

Register for free on Eventbrite for McGowan's Singles Party on July 12, and drag a mate along if you must.

You'll either find a lifelong lover or just a hilarious disaster dating story to tell the grand-kids. Either way, there's booze and banter to enjoy, so throw caution to the wind.

The popular dating app Bumble has finally created a new tool to fight back against unsolicited d*ck pics being sent and received by its users.

An AI named 'Private Detector' will be able to scan images sent in chats for signs of X-rated imagery and blur them out as well as assigning a warning.

55 million people use the app, which is claiming that it can separate out the lewd pictures with 98 percent accuracy.

The firm said: "With our revolutionary AI, we're able to detect potentially inappropriate content and warn you about the image before you open it."

"We're committed to keeping you protected from unsolicited photos so you can have a safer experience meeting new people on Bumble," the company stated.

Bumble is one of Tinder's major competitors, but works by only allowing women to initiate a chat with their matches. The app is one of the few that allows its users to trade images.

In June, the AI technology trained to spot nudes will start flagging possible rude images as soon as they land in your inbox.

The pic will be blurred and will also involve a message underneath that reads: "This photo is blurred to protect you from inappropriate content." Recipients can either block and report the image or open it anyway.

Private Detector was created specifically to tackle a plague of sexual harassment and abuse which has been streaming from dating apps for years. Especially for the safety of women, dating apps can be a dangerous feature.

A YouGov poll recently found that more than half of young women have received nude pictures online, and three quarters of images were unsolicited.

"The sharing of lewd images is a global issue of critical importance," said Andrey Andreev. "It falls upon all of us in the social media and social networking worlds to lead by example and to refuse to tolerate inappropriate behaviour on our platforms."

Andreev heads up Badoo, the network of dating apps which includes Bumble.

The organisation's bosses slammed a misogynistic "small-minded" fat-shamer in a recent open letter, and banned him from the app, according to The Sun.

When decorating your bedroom the key is to dedicate this space to sleep and intimacy, reflecting a relaxing and rejuvenating environment. Essentially, the words to associate with the bedroom of your home are: rest, romance and relaxation.

I used Feng Shui to call in my husband into my life. I made space in my wardrobe, I bought spare hangers for him, had an empty bedside table and also a high shelf in my bedroom empty (wanted a tall husband)

Here are my tips to create a bedroom magnetic to love:

Focus on creating a ‘sanctuary’, frame your thinking about your bedroom in terms of relaxation. Does your bedroom represent rest, romance, and relaxation? If it doesn't, it's time to honour the space where you get your rest, where you sleep, where you have intimate relations with your partner.

Powerful positioning

The better rested you are, the stronger you will be and the more able you are to look after your body and support your family. To make sure you get the best rest, let’s look at the way your bed is set up.

To create harmony and call in love in a bedroom – think about pairs and balance on both sides of the bed having a great bed with comfortable mattress, two nightstands with two lamps of equal size. Ensure everything is matched and harmonious. However, on your nightstand, make sure you only place items that are relevant to you and your relationship status right now.

Keep your nightstand of clutter, including most books. Bear in mind that the bedroom is a place of rest, romance, relaxation, so the bedroom is not the place for a whole library of books. Books carry a great deal of energy, information and charge, which affect your sleep if stored in the bedroom. If you have nowhere else to keep your books, put them inside a cupboard or wardrobe, or ensure the books aren’t on display towards you while you’re in bed.

Switching off

Ensure all work-related items, computers, TV, electronics and exercise equipment are in another room. If you can't live without a TV or your partner doesn't want to get rid of the TV from the bedroom, also cover that while you sleep.

Like work, exercise equipment represents a feeling of doing work, so you don’t want to see this as you’re falling asleep either.

Are you in bed with your phone? Get it out of the bedroom buy a traditional alarm clock and honour your relationship.

Calming colour

When creating a sanctuary colour makes a real difference. Best colours for bed linen are creams, browns and earth tones. Combine these tones with colours you love in the décor of your bedroom with a splash of colour that makes you feel happy, keeping the overall ambience calm.

Bear in mind also that pillows, duvets and sheets should feel luxurious.

Powerful artwork

Imagery is so important in the bedroom and crucial for attracting a loving relationship, be mindful of the pairings you introduce to this space. While you are asleep your subconscious mind is taking in all the images that you have in your bedroom. Think about making your bedroom a physical vision board for the relationship of your dreams making sure the pictures you are hanging up reflect what you want to welcome into your life. What do you want to welcome in?

If you are in a relationship, add in a stunning photo of yourself together with your partner. Choose one that sparks joy, such as a memory of an amazing day together, your wedding day or your first date. The image should make you feel incredible, so that each time you see it, you think, "I love that picture of us."

Hang images facing you in bed and not over your head – this can make you feel unsafe and the image can disturb your dreams.

If you are single and want to attract love, add a picture of a couple doing something that you would love to be doing with a partner. The image should spark joy and inspire you.

Keeping your room, clear, clean and organised with a feeling of a sanctuary will bring you so much more sleep and joy in your life and relationships.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, we've got some wonderful news for those who adore mingling in other countries with singletons. Surrounded by wine.

According to CNN Business, the dating app Bumble is planning to open a cafe in Soho, a trendy New York City neighbourhood. The cafe will then transform into a wine bar when the sun sets.

Bumble was first launched in 2014, and has since expanded to Bumble BFF for finding pals and Bumble Bizz for networking to the max. It garnered fame for allowing women to make the first move.

Their NYC spot will be Bumble Brew's first permanent location, after pop-ups happened in London, Los Angeles and Toronto.

The pop-ups were used for far more than just hooking up, and we're seriously impressed at how rapidly the company has been expanding and diversifying.

When it comes to dating, finding someone with similar interests to you can often be hugely important. Especially when those interests include magical worlds, fantastic creatures and beasts, and cruel deaths.

Game of Thrones fans and Harry Potter lovers are often pretty…intense…when it comes to their appreciation of the world-famous novels and franchises. It makes sense that they'd have a lot in common.

A study has taken place at the University of Oklahoma, where researchers analysed over 400 readers (male and female) and measured their exposure to various fiction genres, and the results are vital for your fantasy-fuelled love lives.

Image: HBO

The attitudes of the participants towards gender roles and sexual behaviour were also studied, and we are loving this form of science.

The readers were tested on their exposure to seven different genres- classics, contemporary literary fiction, romance, fantasy, science fiction, thriller, and horror. They were also asked for their views on a series of toxic beliefs about relationships.

These beliefs included quips such as: "disagreement is destructive", "mind-reading is expected", "romantic partners cannot change", "the sexes are different" and "the expectation of sexual perfection".

The respondents were told to explain to which degree they agreed or disagreed with the alternating statements. All in the name of love.

Image: YouTube

The study is called. 'What you read and what you believe: Genre exposure and beliefs about relationships' and was published in the Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts journal.

The results found that people who had the most exposure to fantasy genres and sci-fi had the healthiest beliefs about how loving relationships should function.

We bet Dumbledore gave some decent wisdom about Tinder swiping.

Interestingly, readers who enjoyed fantasy and science fiction novels were "less likely to support the belief that disagreement is destructive". Fighting can be a healthy way to air grievances, even if it's with a wand or a sword…

Fans of the fantasy genre were also less likely to hold "the belief that partners cannot change, the belief that sexes are different, and the belief that mind-reading is expected in relationships".

Stephanie C. Stern led the research team at the University of Oklahoma, and wrote of their findings; "Individuals who scored higher for exposure to science fiction and fantasy were less likely to endorse four unrealistic relationship beliefs."

Even Jon Snow realised that having a fling with your aunt is a little too unorthodox for him, but Cersei and Jaime endorse the incest vibe.

Ron and Hermione bickered their way through the HP franchise, but made peace in the end with a big sloppy kiss after destroying a Horcrux. Seems like a good way to find love?
