There is nothing wrong with going back to a vintage look when it comes to your footwear, but the prehistoric ages might be taking it too far.

But that’s what one Czech student designer has decided to do. Maria Nina Vaclavek has become famous all across the globe for her unusual, rectangular footwear creation.

Maria has designed a pair of rectangular heels, which she claims are just as comfortable as any normal pair of high heels.

Vaclavek was inspired by cavemen who used to make shoes from animal skins. She designed the shoes with wet leather that was moulded around a model foot for a perfect fit.

“I based my work more on the method of fabrication than the visual aspect of the shoe.”

They look interesting, but we’re not sure we would survive a night out in these cavemen shoes.
