We all nearly lost our minds when it was announced that Clueless was getting the musical treatment; and with good reason, it’s a classic.

Anybody who lives for fashion knows that makeover scene by heart. Not to mention they’ve got the Audrey Hepburn outside Tiffany’s pose down, just need that Givenchy couture to really nail it.

One small problem, while there’s nothing wrong with these fashion classics, sometimes we need to change things up a bit.

So once you’ve managed to work Cher and Dionne’s skirt suits into your everyday wardrobe, you’re ready to move on to tackling some of the styles in these inspiring films that every fashion girl has got to watch.

Even if you don’t eat, sleep and breathe fashion blogs or haut couture, there’s just something about these that make us want to overhaul our wardrobes.

Annie Hall:

Woody Allen may not be for everyone, but the fashion in Annie Hall makes up for that, if you ever wanted to know how to really work the big brimmed hat trend, let this be a lesson for you.

The September Issue:

A behind the scenes look at how Anne Wintour and her production team put together their biggest issue of the year. If you’re any way interested in fashion this is a must see peak behind the scenes.

Heathers:

Before Mean Girls and The Plastic arrived, this clique were it in the fashion film world. If you need a refresher in 80s style, look no further.

Cabaret:

Allow Liza Minnelli to inspire you to live your life draped in glittering robes, bowler hats, and lingerie as outer wear. Sally Bowles was fierce.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service:

The Bond film that almost nobody likes, except for fashionistas. No Daniel Craig here unfortunately. However, the late 60s fashion completely makes up for, just in time to gather some inspiration before River Island’s 60s inspired looks hit the shops.

Sex and the City 1 and 2:

Ok so you've probably watched this before too, but we couldn't leave it off the list completely!

The 1995 cult-classic, Clueless, is getting its own reboot and being turned into a TV show… again. The teenage film quickly became a phenomenon of its era — following Cher Horowitz, played by Alicia Silverstone, who's a materialistic, somewhat ditzy-blonde teen, and queen of popularity. This time though, the reboot will focus on Cher’s best friend Dionne, originally played by Stacey Dash.

Fans of Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars are going to love this modern and mysterious take on a classic teen comedy.

Variety has described it as “a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sun-glasses wearing, oat milk latte and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong number two Dionne steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans. How does Dionne deal with the pressures of being the new most popular girl in school, while also unravelling the mystery of what happened to her best friend?”

With that said, it’s fair to say that the new series will differ quite a lot from the original in way of storyline, while still aligning with the infamous Clueless vibe — this time offering a fresh perspective, focusing on Dionne, a strong, black, female character.

It has also been revealed that the new version of Clueless will be available on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock. Will and Grace writers, Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey, have been working on this new show since last October, with original Clueless producer, Robert Lawrence, as executive producer on the series.

We are channelling all our girl power energy into our Halloween costumes this year. There’s no better group of people to dress up with than your gals so we’ve conjured up a list of the greatest girl gangs in history.

We’ll feature girl gangs from the 1980s to modern day queens who rule the world.

The Heathers:

The 1989 flick features one of the quirkiest and (meanest) girl gangs in cinema history. Gather up the gang and rock those iconic blazers with padded shoulders, the backcombed hair and don’t forget your scrunchie.

The Original Disney Princesses:

Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel and Belle are the OG Disney gals so why not step into the magical world of Disney this Halloween. Plus, you’ll certainly stand out from the crowd because there’s no doubt everyone will be dressing up as Elsa again this year.

The Barden Bellas:

Pitch Perfect is a movie that celebrates female friendship and supports people who sing ALL the time- we couldn’t love it more if we tried. The perk of dressing up as the Bellas means you can randomly sing all night long because it’s ‘part of the costume’.

The Derry Girls

National heroes. Icons. Irish legends. Who wouldn't want to dress up as Erin, Clare, Michelle, Orla and of course, the wee English fella.

Rachel, Phoebe and Monica:

Embrace that glorious 90s style by dressing up as the Friends gals with your two closest girls. We’ve always dreamed of rading Rachel’s iconic wardrobe and now we can.

Clueless:

The shops are full of plaid EVERYTHING at the moment so putting this outfit together will be simple. Find the most flawless plaid skirt suit and feel free to mutter ‘Ugh, as if’ to anyone who asks who you're supposed to be.

The Pink Ladies:

We're ending with one of the original girl gangs- the Pink Ladies. Go back in time to the 60s and channel your inner Frenchie or Rizzo with this old-school look. And remember, don’t forget your neck scarf.

From spaghetti strap crops and tiny coloured sunglasses to ankle bracelets, velvet headbands, butterfly hair clips and scrunchies; the 1990s were the days when fashion was born and bred.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were dating, Charmed, Friends and Sabrina the Teenage Witch were on our screens and Mary-Kate and Ashley launched their careers. Times were good.

What was one of the many gifts the Olsen Twins gave us? Hair bandanas, of course. In paisley print, to be precise.

The bandana is officially the nostalgic hair accessory making a major comeback this summer, and we're rejoicing from the throwback heavens.

Back in 1999, the world and it's mother was donning headscarves from Christina Aguilera to Dionne in Clueless. The paisley print was where it was AT.

Fast forward a couple of years, and the accessory has been spotted on the high street once more. Vintage stores are also stocking up on the style staple.

Brands and designers from JW Anderson, Kate Spade and Max Mara are using scarves for their bold catwalk looks, with signature printed ensembles and monogramming included for SS19

One perfect reason for sporting the look is that it can cover up a dodgy hair day, or unwashed hair with enough grease to cook a double cheeseburger. Unwashed tresses are concealed with ease.

Fold your square scarf diagonally in half to create a triangle, place it over your hair and tie at the nape of your neck. Fix with some bobby pins or hair clips to secure it all day, and voila. You're fierce.

You can even wear the scarves as a crop top if you tie it correctly at the back, which blew our minds. An accessory and an item of clothing which embodies a past era of our lives? Sign us up.

Bad Gal RiRi even used one for her Wild Thoughts music video, looking out of this world incredible as always. We all know that anything Rihanna touches turns to gold, so it's time we joined the trend.

The humble headscarf bandana wasn't just graced on the heads of 1990s royalty like Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls. Male celebrities like Justin Timberlake and Tupac even wore the edgy accessory.

While some of the trends from the nineties have earned their spot on the World Dressed lists nowadays, we simply must throw our support in for the bandana kerchief. It's both lazy and hip at the same time.

If you need us, we'll be hunting Temple Bar's vintage shops for more old-school baggy sportswear, coloured hair clips and tiny sunnies for festival season. Wear your bandana with pride, ladies and gents.

Women's bodies are complex, to say the least. Half the time we aren't sure what the hell is going on with them, but men are doubly confused.

This lady decided to tweet an image of skin-coloured nipple covers to see the level of knowledge which male brains could handle, and it essentially broke them.

Twitter user @cxffeinated cheekily wrote; "Since men know everything. What are these?" and the responses were absolutely GAS.

The guesses which came in were so pure, so absurd, and so… wrong.

The silicone nipple covers were mistaken for things such as petri dishes from laboratories, wax melts in 'Caribbean Peach' flavour, and even FROG EGGS. (We died at that one)

It has definitely proven that men do not, in fact, know everything.

Her boyfriend wanted to know the scientific scale, but he wasn't any closer to guessing correctly. Try again, lad.

Another wanted to ask if the nipple covers were actually a puncture repair kit.

Yes, that's a serious tweet. The poor fella is clueless;

Some estimates were over-confident, some were highly unsure of themselves, and others were just plain baffled.

However, this one is definitely our favourite;

MASH POTATO. Let that sink in for a second. Wow.

We've got to give ten points to Gryffindor for their originality, at least. They've got their creativity if nothing else.

Better luck next time, boys.

We just like totally got the best news of the year..

One of our favourite movies is being remade – Clueless.

Can you believe it has been 23 years since the original film came out? We have never felt older.

The Beverly Hills high school classic is a beloved tale of a superficial but good-hearted teen on her quest for true love.

The remake is still in its earliest stages, Deadline reports, so the casting details have yet to be announced.

So, it is unsure if the new movie will pick up where the last left off, with the original cast years later, or if it will feature an entire new set of actors to play our favourite characters.

Either way, we are so excited that one of the most quotable movies of all time is coming back to the big screen.

We can’t wait for more of Cher’s classic one-liners!

It's safe to say that Clueless is one of our all-time favourite movies.

The kickass female characters, the fashion and the comedic romances are just some of the things we adore about it.

But, according to Alicia Silverstone, it almost didn't happen.

During an interview with Variety, Alicia said that she received a fax from the writer/director of the movie, Amy Heckerling, explaining that the flick wasn't going to make it.

"One studio said no to it because they didn't think anyone was interested in watching a movie about a young girl," she recalled.

"Those people now do kick themselves that they were not part of that film. They were like, 'We don't think anybody is going to care. It's not going to sell tickets.'"

Fortunately, producer Scott Rudin came to the rescue and scored a deal with Paramount, and as they say, the rest is history.

God, are we glad Clueless got made.

Clueless was one of the most iconic movie of the nineties, and to this day it holds a special place in our hearts.

It bought laughter, tears, and most importantly, some of the greatest costume to ever grace the big screen screen.

Cher's designer wardrobe was the envy of every budding fashionista, but as it turns out, the actress who played the role wasn't such a big fan.

In a recent interview with ET, Alicia Silverstone revealed that she didn't quite grasp the importance of the outifts.

“At that time of my life, I wore jeans and a green t-shirt every single day and that was it. I just didn't get fashion at all. I was just kind of a tomboy and I just wasn't into it.”

“I just didn't get it until I saw the movie and then I was like 'oh I get it.. the costumes are the star of the movie'”

She also admitted that even though she was able to take many of the items home once filming had wrapped, she ended up giving most of them away because she didn't know how to incorporate them into her everyday style.

We'd say she only kicking herself now.

Just imagine how much that iconic yellow suit would be worth today.

Girls who love fashion like Halloween because it's an excuse to dress up in their best outfits and as their favourite stars.

Well, you need not look any further because Willow Smith has just won the dress-up game.

In her latest shoot for CR Fashion Book, the daughter of Will Smith dressed as Cher Horowitz from Clueless and it was just PERFECT.

The 15-year-old (yep, a teenager has better style than any of us) rocked some black creepers, knee-high socks and a yellow plaid skirt suit.

Perfect outfit for Halloween? Yes. Perfect outfit for everyday life? If only we could pull it off…

It might be 2015, but we were feeling a serious 90s vibe as we watched last night's American Music Awards.

From Kylie Jenner's leather n' chains cut-out dress to the very presence of J-Lo and P Diddy on the same stage, the awards show was completely jam-packed with nostalgia from our very favourite decade.

By the time Alanis Morisette stepped out to duet on You Oughta Know with Demi Lovato, we were about ready to root out our old Spice Girls posters and start blaring Jackie's Army in preparation for Italia 90.

If you were watching last night, you know doubt spotted some of these oh-so 90s elements:

1. Kylie Jenner's red carpet look
She raided Christina Aguilera's 1999 wardrobe.

2. Gigi Hadid's all-white cut-out dress
The thigh slit, the halter neck, the criss-cross detailing – Ginger Spice eat your heart out.

3. J-Lo shaking her booty just as we remembered
Jennifer Lopez is more about singing and producing these days, but last night she (and her curves) took a trip down memory lane.

All hail Queen J-Lo.

BOW DOWN.

4. P-Diddy giving a shout-out to the woman herself, making us wish they were still together

All the feels. And look at them there, having fun like old times at the after-party:

5. Jenny McCarthy's thigh high platform boots

6. And, of course, Ariana Grande in that eternal 90s favourite, the white platform heel
Again, something we reckon Ginger Spice would have killed for.

7. US singer Z LaLa harking back to The Little Mermaid with her octopus costume

8. Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy Sisto reliving their Clueless days on stage

We prefer to think of them like this:

9. And finally, Alanis Morisette and Demi Lovato giving it socks to You Oughta Know
*shrieks*

Katy Perry might be taking on one of her biggest roles to date soon; yes, Katy is in the mix of names to play Cher Horowitz in the upcoming Clueless musical.

Amy Heckerling, who directed the 1995 film and is currently in control of its musical adaptation, opened up to Vulture about her dream choice to play the part that was made famous by Alicia Silverstone.

"I love Katy Perry," Amy said, and then revealed that the singer has already "expressed interest" in filling Cher's Jimmy Choos.

However, before we all start losing our minds over this, Amy did say that nothing is set in stone.

"You never know what will happen, she has a whole big schedule," she explained, adding that her initial response to the offer was more optimistic than official: "It was like, I love it, I wish I could do it." Oh.

So while it still remains uncertain if Katy will make her Broadway debut wearing yellow plaid-on-plaid, we still think this modern remake is going to be totally kick-ass.

But the question remains, would anybody else be better suited to playing Cher? As if!

Ah, the '90s: when scrunchies were king and chokers ruled the accessory world.

Whatever age you were during the decade, there’s no denying the power of a flannel shirt and a statement choker. As it so happens, these trends are not to be forgotten. The go-to looks of the time are having something of a renaissance, people were wearing velvet scrunchies at New York Fashion Week, lest we forget.

These are few more trends that are giving us some flashbacks:

Thigh high boots:

They are everywhere

Scrunchies:

If Selena is wearing one then we all want one.

Velvet everything:

We are very tempted.

Chokers:

riri

OK, so not exactly the plastic ones we were used to but this is a trend we definitely support.

Plaid:

Cher and the rest of the Clueless gang would definitely approve.
