Chloe Grace Moretz

Most of us have been there.

College student or teenager in school – you're broke and need some cash for those shots on Saturday night.

And so begins your time as a waitress – shitty tips, blistered feet, and filthy dishes – oh, the joys.

And now Hollywood has had a little taste of it – well, one actor has.

Chloë Grace Moretz has revealed she waitressed in a Dublin in prep for her latest movie, Greta

In the psychological thriller, the 22-year-old plays American waitress Frances McCullen and while the movie is set in New York, a lot of the filming took place in and around Dublin city.

She told US chat show host Jimmy Kimmel that she asked Jordan if she could give waitressing a go, seeing as she never had a chance to.

She revealed, ''I hadn't ever done that, and in this story, I'm a waitress at a proper restaurant, a fairly nice restaurant and I talked to Neil Jordan, my director, and I said listen, I don't know how to do it.''

She continued, ''I know that it does take a lot to understand the workings of a restaurant and how to do it all. Can I go into a place and try it out? And he said ok, for sure. We found a place, we were filming in Ireland, in Dublin, and I did two days of training. Terrifying. And then they had me hit the floor.''

She added, ''I'm like, 'and would you like a cocktail, top-shelf liquor?' and just failing at it, trying to input it in the screen, don't know how to do that. The order goes in too early and they're mad because the food is cold and they had a gluten allergy they didn't tell me about, but they're mad at me for it. It was just a lot for me."

Yep, that sounds like an average days work for us…

Opening up about our insecurities is never an easy thing to do. We often try to cover up our flaws rather than drawing attention to them.

However, we need normalise our flaws, because we all have something we don’t like about our appearance, whether that’s our curly, frizzy hair or our freckles.

Chloe Grace Moretz has bravely opened up about her struggle with cystic acne and we love her for it. Speaking about our skin struggles will help show women that there’s no such thing as perfect, we all suffer from blemishes, zits and blackheads, it’s a completely normal thing.

The 21-year-old actress opened up about the impact cystic acne had on her confidence.

Chloe shared: "I think what people don't talk about is the psychological element to having skin problems, and that was the hardest thing for me. It strips your self-confidence in a lot of ways; you know you can't hide from it at all, and you lose a little piece of yourself.”

The If I Stay star said she put a lot of pressure on herself to look ‘perfect’: "When I was younger, I lost a piece of myself by being so self-obsessed with my skin blemishes or what people thought about them.”

“As I grew up, I realised that half the battle was myself, and my own self-infliction of what I thought 'beauty' and 'perfect' was. But then, you realise there's no such thing as perfect, and your skin will go through ups and downs.”

The Carrie actress added: “All you can do is try and be as self-accepting as possible."

When it comes to her skincare routine, Chloe said she likes to keep it simple, only using water, honey and olive oil.

Chloe’s empowering message about embracing your skin is vital for women today. We put far too much pressure on ourselves to look perfect and often knock ourselves down if we have a spot or two.

We need to remember that acne doesn’t define who you are and that Chloe is completely right, there is no such thing as looking ‘perfect’.

Body shaming can happen to women of any size or shape, and can happen on a public platform when you work in Hollywood.

Actress Chloe Grace Moretz has spoken out about her firsthand experience with having her physique criticised, and at a seriously young age.

Chloe spoke to Variety about a horrible instance of body shaming, which happened to her when she was just fifteen.

'This guy that was my love interest was like, ‘I’d never date you in real life,’ she began.

'I was, ‘What?'” she said. “And he was like, ‘Yeah, you’re too big for me’ – as in my size.”

He was 'one of the only actors that ever made me cry on set,' she continued, declining to name the culprit.

'I went bawling to my brother and he was like, ‘What happened?’,And I was like, ‘He told me I was too big.’ And my brother was like, ‘What just happened?’ My brother was so angry.'

'I had to pick it up and go back on set and pretend he was a love interest, and it was really hard.'

'It just makes you realise that there are some really bad people out there and for some reason, he felt the need to say that to me.' she continued

'You have to kind of forgive and not forget really, but it was just like wow. It was jarring. I look back on it and I was 15, which is really, really dark.'

Chloe went on to describe another occurrence, in which she was ostracised from her film crew due to the actions of her male co-star.

'They have this inferiority issue and I’m like, ‘You are completely equal to me, you are no different than me. I just happen to be the lead in this movie, and I don’t know why just because you are kind of the smaller character that you’re pushing me into a corner to try and put me down.'”

Kudos to Chloe for speaking out on the dual issues of equality and body shaming.

Chloe Grace Moretx has responded to the intense wave of backlash which followed the advertising for her upcoming movie Red Snows and the 7 Dwarfs.

The movie is based on the original Snow White fairytale, but with a twist.

'What if Snow White was no longer beautiful?' reads the new advertisement for the flick, a slogan which stands beside a comparative image of Snow White, one image shows a tall and slim version, the other a short curvy version.

The spin-off movie is causing outrage on social media, and was even called out for fat shaming by positivity advocate Tess Holiday.

Chloe Grace Moretz, who voices Snow White in the upcoming children's movie, has taken to Twitter to apologise and share her thoughts.

'I have now fully reviewed the marketing for Red Shoes, I am just as appalled and angry as everyone else, this wasn't approved by me or my team,' she said.

'Please know I have let the producers of the film know,' she continued.

'I lent my voice to a beautiful script that I hope you will all see in its entirety.'

'The actual story is powerful for young women and resonated with me.'

'I am sorry for the offence that was beyond my creative control.'

The reaction to Tess Holliday's tweet, in which she tagged Chloe, was shock and outrage.

'No wonder kids have issues with body image,' said one.

'Enough of the size shaming. We are all unique and thus beautiful in our own way.'

'I'm willing to give the film a chance, but I agree that this ad sends a negative message, and probably could have been done differently,' said another.

Over the past year or so there has been numerous reports that Brooklyn Beckham and Chloe Moretz are an item, but nothing concrete ever seemed to surface.

But yesterday, Brooklyn and Chloe appeared to confirm their relationship as they enjoyed a romantic stroll while holding hands in London.

The model seemed to be smitten with the Carrie actress as they walked around London's Shaftesbury Avenue.

One source told The Sun, "Chloe and Brooklyn are very much a couple. They're really comfortable getting their families together." Eeek!

Though Taylor Swift and her buddies may be our definition of #squadgoals, not everyone feels the same away about being a member of the exclusive group.

And one person who has no desire to join in on the girl-fun is outspoken actress, Chloe Grace Moretz.

In an interview with Complex magazine, the 19-year-old revealed that she had recently turned down an invitation to join forces with Tay and her minions.

"They appropriate exclusivity. They're cliques!" said the star.

Being friends with Selena Gomez, the actress had been introduced to the Bad Blood singer and even invited to hang-out with the squad but she politely declined.

The star refused to say anything else about Taylor and her expertly crafted squad. simply ending the topic with: "She's a very talented person."

Ooh, do we detect a bit of shade?

The young Kick Ass actress is getting a name for herself by being unafraid to speak her mind, even if it lands her in hot water.

Most recently, Chloe called out Kim Kardashian for publishing her now infamous naked selfie, encouraging her to not teach girls that their only value lies in their bodies.

However, Kim retaliated and a lot of celebrities got in on the action too. Despite receiving quite a bit of backlash, we have a lot of respect for Chloe who is obviously going to continue to speak her mind regardless.

While Kim Kardashian attempted to once again break the internet with a naked selfie on Instagram yesterday, she has managed to remain headline news by replying to comments from other celebrities about the provocative snap.

In a rant not dissimilar to those of her famous hubby, she called out Bette Midler and actress Chloe Grace Moretz among others in a pretty cringe-inducing tirade.

It all began when actress Bette decided to weigh in on the aforementioned pic.

"Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera," read a tweet by the 70-year-old yesterday.

The 35-year-old star responded by jokingly asking the actress to send nudes before adding: "I really didn't want to bring up how how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me."

She also took a swipe at 19-year-old actress Chloe Grace Moretz, who earlier in the day had tweeted: "I truly hope you realise how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than our bodies."

Ouch.

Kim began her tirade in true Kanye form by boasting about transferring a million dollars into her bank account.

We were big fans of Bad Neighbours when it came out back in 2014.

From a shirtless Zac Efron to THAT milking scene, it had a lot going for it.

So we were a tad sceptical when a sequel was announced but this trailer had put all our reservations to rest.

Boasting the original cast plus a few fresh faces in the form of Chloe Moretz and Selena Gomez, we reckon this is going to be an early Summer smash.

Hilarious couple Mac and Kelly are looking to sell their house and move into the quiet suburbs. However, this plan may be in jeopardy because while they may have got rid of the fraternity living next door, they now have to deal with a particularly rowdy sorority.

Watch the hilarious trailer below:

Ariel is, without a doubt, one of the most iconic redheads of all time. And when people think of The Little Mermaid, they think about the strawberry-topped mermaid swimming around the sea.

But not anymore, it seems. It has been confirmed that the upcoming live action remake of The Little Mermaid will feature Ariel with… blonde hair. *Shivers*

Chloe Grace Moretz, who is set to play the famous mermaid, made the startling revelation in an interview with Entertainment Weekly earlier this week.

"We’re going off the Hans Christian Anderson novel, so I’ll actually have blonde hair." Noooo!

But the Internet is having absolutely none of it:

And it really is a tragedy with redheads everywhere:

We really can’t wait for this one. Chloe Grace Moretz has been cast to play Ariel in the new live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Chloe will play the mermaid princess who falls in love with a beautiful prince and trades her tails for legs and feet in order to be with her man.

However, there's a twist. We’re not talking about the lovely Disney movie here. Nope, Universal are making the Hans Christian Anderson story come to life and it will be based on the original Danish fairytale, so it will probably be WAY darker than the Disney classic.

Still, we can’t wait to see the movie, and more exciting, we can’t wait to find out who will play her prince.

Ah, Twitter; the one place where we can stalk our favourite celebrities and feel no shame whatsoever.

Upon reflection, young Brooklyn Beckham may want to prepare himself for a whole new level of scrutiny after joining the social media site yesterday.

The 15-year-old, going by the handle @brooklyn77B (because an army of fakes have taken his name), proceeded to throw the internet into a frenzy with his careful selection of followers.

Yes, rumoured girlfriend Chloe Grace Moretz was among the 11 people he chose to follow – but so was singer Tallia Storm, with whom he has also been spotted getting cosy.

The scandal of it all!

Brooklyn has yet to tweet, but we imagine he’s going through the same dilemma as we did when we first joined, trying to come up with anything other than: “I’m on Twitter!”
