The 1995 cult-classic, Clueless, is getting its own reboot and being turned into a TV show… again. The teenage film quickly became a phenomenon of its era — following Cher Horowitz, played by Alicia Silverstone, who's a materialistic, somewhat ditzy-blonde teen, and queen of popularity. This time though, the reboot will focus on Cher’s best friend Dionne, originally played by Stacey Dash.

Fans of Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars are going to love this modern and mysterious take on a classic teen comedy.

Variety has described it as “a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sun-glasses wearing, oat milk latte and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong number two Dionne steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans. How does Dionne deal with the pressures of being the new most popular girl in school, while also unravelling the mystery of what happened to her best friend?”

With that said, it’s fair to say that the new series will differ quite a lot from the original in way of storyline, while still aligning with the infamous Clueless vibe — this time offering a fresh perspective, focusing on Dionne, a strong, black, female character.

It has also been revealed that the new version of Clueless will be available on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock. Will and Grace writers, Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey, have been working on this new show since last October, with original Clueless producer, Robert Lawrence, as executive producer on the series.

News that Ariana Grande is headlining Manchester Pride has caused quite a stir already, with many arguing that the ticket prices have become extortionate as a result of the big name booking.

However, Grande is once again under the spotlight as reports are claiming that she's getting paid €116,000 MORE than Kylie Minogue to perform.

Sources close to the pop star are claiming that the Thank U, Next singer is getting a HUGE €291,000 for her Pride show, which hasn't impressed ticket buyers.

This tweet caught the attention of Grande the other day, who responded to the criticism with an eloquent note defending her performance;

"Hi my love, I have nothing to do with ticket pricing- Manchester Pride sets those rates, and they’re mostly out of my control," she tweeted. "The LGBTQ community has been so special to me and supportive throughout my entire career."

"The relationships I have with my LGBTQ fans, friends, and family make me so, so happy,’ she continued. "I want to celebrate and support this community, regardless of my identity or how people label me. And also I wanna visit a city that means so much to me."

"LGBTQ representation is incredibly important, and I’m always proud to share the stage with LGBTQ artists! Over the years, pride events have been headlined by performers and artists of all sexual orientations and genders, including straight allies like Cher and Kylie Minogue," she said.

"I’m not claiming to be the hero of the community or the face of the LGBTQ rights movement – I just wanna put on a show that makes my LGBTQ fans feel special and celebrated and supported. That’s all I wanna do," she concluded.

People aren't impressed that Ariana Grande is getting over €116,000 more than Kylie to perform, with a source at The Sun writing;

"Obviously they’re both massive stars but Ariana is like gold dust at the moment, so the organisers offered her top whack to take part."

The 25-year-old has paid attention to the criticism, but claims that ticket pricing was out of her hands. Kylie Minogue herself has yet to comment on the whole debacle, but the pay difference is most likely due to Ariana's demand.

As a recent Grammy winner, as well as releasing two albums over the last six months which have both reached number one, she's one of the world's most popular pop stars.

7 Rings, Thank U, Next and Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored show no sign of leaving the charts anytime soon, and we definitely can't get them out of our heads. They're bangers.

What do you think of the debate on Manchester Pride? Is it acceptable for allies to get paid that much?

Olly Alexander from Years & Years recently pointed out that Pride will support more LGBT+ artists when people LISTEN to those artists' music, to hike up demand for them at festivals and concerts.

It's a two-way street; support can't just be shown one day of the year at Pride for LGBT+ musicians; it has to be 365 days a year for it to make an impact.

Fresh from her huge successful turn in Mamma Mia 2 – Here We Go Again, the absolute LEGEND that is Cher confirmed that her massive tour will stop in Ireland.

I have a confession to make… I have seen Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again three times. I know, I know, there are so many incredible movies out at the moment, but there’s something about this cheesy film that I just can’t resist.

Sure, it is pretty cringe-worthy and goofy, but the touching storyline of Sophie and her family trying to cope with the loss of Donna really tugs at your heart strings.

Seeing the adventures of young Donna unfold on screen was really moving and extremely enjoyable because I was madly in love with the three actors playing young Sam, Bill and Harry.

Okay, maybe the main reason I keep going to see this film is Josh Dylan, but it is also the friendship, the setting (take me to Greece now, please) and glorious duo that is Julie Walters and Christine Baranski.

I promised myself I wouldn’t go see the movie a fourth time, however, when I spotted this upcoming event I broke that promise instantly.

The Lighthouse Cinema is hosting a sing-along screening of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again and I will without a doubt be there singing (badly) along to every single word of every single song.

“One of the most popular films of Summer 2018 returns for a one day only Sing-Along event! Not that you'll need any encouragement singing ABBA songs but feel free to give it loads.”

“Get ready to sing and dance, laugh and love all over again.”

The screening takes place on September 16 and tickets are available here.

This is the dream musical event. What else would you do on a Sunday evening other than sing (badly) along to Waterloo and stuff your face with popcorn?

Cher is the Queen of Everything and the Coolest Person of All  Time.

Yes, those titles all deserve capital letters – c'mon, we know it's true.

Cher has become an icon to a whole new generation of movie-fans, thanks to pop culture references on social media.

Her recent role as Meryl Streep's mum in summer feel-good flick Mamma Mia 2 has only cemented her status as one of Hollywood's legends.

And then she went and became even more amazing.

How, you ask?

Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter she had to face ageist comments when she turned 40. Yes, 40

Cher spoke about how she had been feeling apprehensive about hitting the milestone in May 1986.

She was working on The Witches of Eastwick at the time and the director, George Miller called her with some unpleasant news.

“[He] said, ‘I just wanted to call and tell you that I don’t want you in my movie and Jack Nicholson and I think you’re too old and you’re not sexy.’ Good morning, 40!”

While Cher says now that  “tears started streaming down my face” at his awful comments, the man kept banging on.

“He didn't want to hang up,” she said.

“He just wanted to tell me everything: ‘I hate the way you walk, I hate the way you talk, I don’t like the colour of your hair, I don’t like the colour of your eyes.”

Eh, Cher – he's clearly a a*sehole.

Obvs, our gal Cher wasn't gonna put up with it.

“So finally, I was like, ‘OK, look motherf***er,’” she said.

“Yeah, I said the whole thing. I said, ‘You didn't find me under a rock. I was nominated for an Academy Award for Silkwood. And I got the Cannes Film Festival award for best actress for Mask, so goodbye!’”

As she took home the gong for Best Actress at the Academy Award for Moonstruck the following year and more than three decades later she’s making movies and selling out concerts…we think that maybe, just maybe she's having the last laugh.

Kim Kardashian may be known for her killer heels, random sheer panelling and corsets-go-with-everything attitude, but her costume fot Halloween this year is honestly fab.

The mum-of-two has always pulled out all the stops for the spooky season(who could forget the time she took the complete piss out of herself and dressed up as pregnant Kim wearing that floral sofa dress) but this year her costume is pure perfection.

We love to don the ensemble of our idols at Halloween, and that's exactly what Kim did this year.

The reality TV star dressed up as Cher, wearing an iconic yellow two-piece worn in 1973 by the singer-turned-actress.

The yellow embellished set was worn to the Oscars by Cher, and was photographed there with Sonny Bono.

That's where bestie Jonathan Cheban comes in.

Rather than roping Kanye into her duo outfit, Celebrity Big Brother contestant and restaurateur Johnathan donned Sonny's half of the ensemble.

Kim looked striking with her perfectly executed Cher makeup, complete with heavy bottom eyelashes.

And can we talk about that ab contouring?

This isn't the first time Kim has channelled Cher vibes.

The businesswoman was previously featured on the cover of Harpers Bazaar in a Cher-inspired photoshoot.

In this case, immitation truly is the highest form of flattery.

It's been reported that music icon, Cher, has joined the cast of Universals' upcoming sequel, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!.

The 71-year-old hinted at her new role in a series of tweets over the weekend, though Variety claims to have confirmed the news.

On Sunday, Cher shared a photo of a pair of ABBA-esque silver platform boots, along with the message:  "Just went through two dance numbers. Everyone’s great" – leading many fans to believe she had been cast in the film.

She also tweeted lyrics from the ABBA classic, Fernando, which pretty much sealed the deal.

According to Deadline, no details of the star's role in the film have been released as of yet.

Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, and Christine Baranski are returning for the sequel which began shooting in September.

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! is due for release next July.

What better story for a musical than the story of Cher's life?

She's a total goddess so it's no wonder her life story is set to debut on Broadway next year.

The singer tweeted the news last night, saying: "Just got off the phone w/Writer & Director of musical.

"There will be a performance in theatre with actors, dancers, singers. It'll be on Broadway 2018."

According to the New York PostCher: The Musical chronicles the star's life beginning with her upbringing in Los Angeles.

It'll go on to show how she met Sonny Bono in 1962 and went on to become one of the most famous pop duos of the time.

With the couple divorcing in 1975, Cher went on to have a phenomenal solo career, which will also be depicted in the musical.

The show had a try-out in January, and after Cher wrote: "I sobbed & laughed, & I was prepared to not like it. Audience clapped after songs, & gave a standing ovation."

The musical will features several of Cher's hits including I Got You Babe, Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves, Take Me Home, Believe and If I Could Turn Back Time

Drake was the big winner at the 2017 Billboard Music awards in Las Vegas last night.

The Canadian star took home an incredible 13 trophies, setting a new record for the most awards claimed by one artist. The record was previously held by Adele who went home with 12 prizes in 2012.

The rapper walked away with a host of coveted titles including, Best Artist, Best Male Artist and Best Rapper.

The top artist award was presented to the One Dance singer by Prince Michael Jackson, the son of the late singer.

Upon accepting the award, Drake tipped his hat to Adele saying, "I just want to say hold tight Adele because when a new thing drops you will crawl your way back to get the record back."

Other highlights of the night included a live performance from Cher who took to the stage in a diamond clad ensemble for an energetic rendition of hit singles Believe and If I Could Turn Back Time.

Another throwback moment saw Celine Dion give a powerful performance of her classic hit My Heart Will Go On which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. (Yes, that also means it’s been 20 years since Jack and Rose broke our hearts, and we’re still not over it.)

There’s was a moment of silence for Audioslave and Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, who sadly passed away last week at the age of 52.

Miley Cyrus, John Legend, The Chainsmokers and Lorde also performed on the night.

It’s not everyday that an ionic A-lister loops you into their online chats, but as one Dublin woman now knows, it can indeed happen.

Yes, when well-known illustrator Holly Shortall innocuously said she was “seething with jealousy” during a light-hearted online interaction in which none-other than Cher was tagged – she found herself at the receiving end of the singer’s notoriously bonkers wit.

“My initial reaction was 'OMG Cher tweeted me' like there are very few people as iconic as Cher so I was so excited!” Holly exclusively explained to SHEmazing! this evening.

“Then I read it about 54 times trying to figure out what it all meant.”

Holly added of her idol: “She's gas, her tweets make absolutely no sense.”

Describing herself as a bit of a Cher super-fan, Ms Shortall went on to explain that she remains “obsessed with the movie Mermaids” [the 1990 comedy staring the singer].

In fact, as a child Holly even wished the 69-year-old Californian “was my real mom”.

Her run-in with celebrity royalty began yesterday when the equally Cher-obsessed @Rowlegendary posted a picture of a quirky coffee table embellished with the star's most prolific tweets.

"I got a coffee table of @Cher's best tweets as a gift. I don't see how my birthday can get any better," he wrote.

When Holly spotted the message, she quickly responded with a tongue-in-cheek: “I don't know but I am seething with jealousy.”

Step forward Cher herself, who in response went for the weird and wonderful: “Jealousy is a GIFT BITCH. That Just Keeps On Giving. Weird Thing..You're Not hurting Any1, But YOU, Cause ur Hiding Your SHAME.”

Brilliantly confusing, we say.

Still, the 26-year-old Dubliner, who counts the likes of Kim Kardashian and Kelly Osborne among the fans of her artwork, certainly hasn’t let the incident get her down.

In fact, she’s been taking it all in her stride – especially when Cher tweeted at Ms Shortall AGAIN to clarify that she wasn't calling her a b**ch, but jealousy itself.

“I love having a laugh and taking the mick out of myself so I won't lie, it's been fun,” Holly also told SHEmazing!

But sadly, she doesn’t think Cher will be in touch in the future.

“She’ll probably have long forgotten about me and have a new victim in her sights already!” she laughed.

Lady GaGa is renowned for her extreme makeovers but we barely recognised the singer today, when she stepped out in New York with an even more dramatic look than usual.

The 28-year-old singer was spotted out with her new curly hairdo, thick eyebrows, red lipstick as well as sequin leopard print outfit.

Many believed her latest look was a homage to her idol Cher, who is also known for her big hairstyles and unusual costumes.

Well whatever the reason behind Lady GaGa’s latest makeover, the Artpop singer always manages to surprise us somehow!
