Gardaí have gathered a list of names of those who they're trying to track down in Co. Kilkenny after three juvenile girls were sexually assaulted in Wexford last weekend.

Detectives believe that these individuals may have been directly involved in the attack or were with a number of men who carried it out on Sunday night. More than one man was apparently involved.

Gardaí are investigating claims that at least one 14-year-old girl was raped, and two other girls sexually assaulted. A specialist child interviewer has been hired to conduct the interviews.

A manhunt is ongoing in the Kilkenny area for a number of young men who Gardaí want to question about the attacks, which allegedly took place in the holiday town of Courtown Harbour, Co. Wexford.

The alleged incident happened shortly around midnight in the Burrow area, and the complainants are all young teenage girls. Gardaí are asking anyone who may have information to come forward.

The parents apparently reported to Gardaí that the girls were sexually assaulted on Sunday morning, and three girls made official statements to specialist officers. They were also brought to a sexual assault unit for treatment.

The girls are originally from the Dublin area, according to The Independent, and the attacks allegedly happened close to the beach in the north Wexford seaside village.

Gardaí were last night desperately trying to make contact with a number of suspects based in Kilkenny, and the area where the attacks allegedly happened were sealed off on Sunday while an exam took place.

"Each of the alleged victims was subjected to a different type of sexual assault," a senior source said last night.

"The alleged victims are fully co-operating with the investigation which is being treated in the most sensitive way," the source added.

Gardaí are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the Burrow area between 10pm on Saturday night and 2am on Sunday morning who saw any suspicious behaviour to contact Gardaí in Gorey on 053 943 0690 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Gardaí are not releasing any further information “due to the sensitive nature of the incident” but a senior source described the claims as 'credible'.

A garda spokesperson said: “Owing to the nature of the alleged incidents and ages of those involved we will not be commenting further at this time.” Enquiries are ongoing, but no arrests have been made so far in the case.

The young woman at the centre of a high-profile sexual assault case has been found guilty this afternoon.

Gayle Newland, 25, had faced five charges at Chester Crown Court – and is guilty of three.

Although the jury could not reach an unanimous verdict, the judge accepted a 10:2 majority, allowing the verdict to be delivered within the last hour.

Through tears, Newland shouted "I don't understand, I don't understand," shortly after the jury announced its findings.

More than two years ago, she tricked another 25-year-old woman with whom she became friendly into believing that she was a man.

She formed a romantic relationship with her and had sex with her on around ten occasions using a prosthetic penis.

The distressed victim had previously told the court she thought she was sleeping with a man called Kye Fortune.

She said she had been lead to believe that 'Kye' was recovering from a brain tumour and did not want her to see his scars – thus a blind-fold was used when they were intimate.

The assaults took place between February and June 2013.

During her trial, Newland had claimed that her victim "was always quite sexual".

She added: "She wanted me to touch her. She was the one who told me to go online and buy the strap-on."

The victim only discovered the truth when after she removed a blindfold to discover Newland standing over her wearing the sex toy.

Newland, who has been bailed, will be sentenced in November. The judge said today that imprisonment was "inevitable," although she will undergo psychiatric evaluation in the interim.

Kanye West is being very, well Kanye West again!

During a deposition hearing for the case against him in which he damaged a photographer’s camera, the rapper has been reported by TMZ as saying: “I’m the smartest celebrity you’ve ever f***ing dealt with. I’m not Britney Spears.”

Did he seriously just go there?!

There is really no need for Kanye to compare himself to Britney, and especially in such a negative light.

We love Brit here and it’s good to see her doing so well after a few hard years so we hope she doesn’t let Kanye knock her.

Kim Kardashian’s dad, Robert, has been accused of hiding evidence in the trial of O.J. Simpson.

The lawyer was defending the sports star against the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994.

Now, Ron’s father, Fred, is saying that Robert Snr. removed a bag of evidence from O.J.’s home that would have seen him go down for the murder: “That evidence would have convicted ‘the killer’.”

July 20th will mark the 20th anniversary of the murders of Nicole and Ron, and although the evidence in the bag was never exposed, Ron’s sister, Kim, thinks the murder weapon had been stored in there: “I have always wondered what was in his luggage bag, and if it did indeed hold the murder weapon that was used to kill my brother and Nicole.”

Kim also said that four years after Robert Snr.’s death, they were approached by the Kardashian family: “We were notified by either a lawyer or someone from the Kardashian family that they had come across this bag among Robert Kardashian’s things … Robert wanted the bag to be given to me after his death.”

However, this event never ended up taking place as they were told last minute that it “wouldn’t be happening.”

Though the bag was finally handed over to authorities, by then it was empty and is said not to have been the bag that Robert was seen carrying out of O.J.’s home.
