Brendan McCahey is The Voice of Ireland 2014, and his coach Bressie wants him to record his first album pronto!

Cavan singer Brendan beat off stiff competition from Kellie Lewis, Laura May Lenehan and Jamie Stanton to come out on top in this year’s live final.

Speaking following the win, Brendan said, “I’m delighted – I’m so glad!”

A bookies’ favourite from early on, Brendan impressed all coaches on the RTÉ show throughout the series with coach Kian Egan championing his cause going last night big final!

“Honestly for me you’re the winner,” said Kian during the final. “You have shown us there is a lot of undiscovered talent in this country, you are the best singer on this show in three years.”

His coach Bressie thinks he is ready to record an album right now.

“The only thing Brendan hasn’t done is gangsta rap,” he said. “You are ready to record an album, you are that good.”

All four finalists’ songs are available to download from iTunes.
