Molly-Mae has definitely been at the center of the drama going on in the Love Island villa.

And when she FINALLY had her first kiss with Tommy, our eyes were drawn to one thing….her stunning braided hair.

Molly has fab blonde locks but this style was extra cute.

This beachy look is perfect for summer – and you can do it now too, even if you don't have quite as perfect bradding skills as Molly…

First off, if you want hair as sleek as Molly’s apply a shine cream to dry hair.

This will make braiding the locks so much easier.

Divide your hair in two and start at your parting.

Work a Dutch braid – so the hair is worked under instead of over and the head shape down to the nape of the neck.

Continue to the tip of your hair and then tie it.

Do the same thing on the other side.

Then take both braids and wrap over the top of your head before pinning into place.

Spray a bit of hairspray and voila – you're good to get crackin' on.

Summer is in full swing (seriously, don't let the weather fool you!), and that means holidays, swimming and music festivals – for the lucky few.

As the weather heats up, it can be tricky to tame your hair, but braids are a FANTASTIC way to do so.

They keep your hair away from your face, while also looking really great!

The best part? Braids can be as exciting or traditional as you like, with a chance to spice things up with glitter and bling.

We have done a round up of our favourite braids and plaits on the Internet, and we dare you not to fall in love!

You're welcome!

While generally celebrated for her boho style, Vanessa Hudgens has come under fire this week for experimenting with box braided hair.

The High School Musical star has been heavily criticised online for a series of Snapchats in which she showed off the look which is traditionally worn by African women because of its protective properties.

Online commentators have accused the star of cultural appropriation for sporting the ‘do.

One user wrote: “People like @VanessaHudgens, #hate true #BlackWomen, but love the #cultural, our #men, and our #music!  #Confuse (sic).”

While another said:  “Vanessa Hudgens…Queen of cultural appropriation.”

Social media users have also been quick to point out that this is not the first time the 27-year-old has been accused of adopting symbols of cultural significance for fashion-related purposes.

She has previously been pictured wearing a sari, a bindi and a Native American headdress.

However, others have defended the star by questioning why white women wearing braids is considered culturally inappropriate.

“Is it cultural appropriation when a black girl gets her hair straighten?  No?  Then why can’t we wear braids (sic)?” asked one woman.

This line of thought was echoed by another Twitter user who wrote: “So it’s cultural appropriation when @VanessaHudgens wears braids but when @Beyonce dyes her hair blonde [it’s] ‘slaying’?”

Ever since Blake Lively shared a snap of her woodland inspired braid, we have been a tad obsessed.

This easy hairdo passes seamlessly from day to night and is perfect for every lazy girl who is having a bad hair day.

Here's the best braids to try and how to get them.

1) The red carpet braid

For an effortless night time look, pull your hair back into a loose low pony and plait as normal. Pull the plait loose so that it is soft and flowing.

2) The milkmaid braid

This style has become very popular in the last few years, from daytime casual to catwalks.

Divide your hair in half and plait both sides. Wrap each side over your head like hair bands and secure with bobby pins.

3) The messy braid

Curls your hair and then plait it. This will give the hair more volume and texture. Use a texturising spray and also pull strands loose to create that messy look.

4) The side braid

The side braid is effortless and easy. If you have any layers, pin the hair to the side at the back of your head and plait as normal.

5) The pony-tail braid

For something a bit more dramatic, pull your hair into a sleek pony and use hair spray to tame any stray hairs.

Plait the pony as normal and leave it tumbling down your back. Works best with long hair.

editorial_headerAround for years, but still as fashionable as ever; we love braids! Whether it’s a classy fishtail version or festival boho style, the possibilities are endless.

And they work great with long and short haired alike – being quickly and easily created by using the right products.

Check out our Get The Look video below and follow our simple steps for creating the ultimate summer braid.

  1. Start by using silicone free TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Shampoo and Conditioner. This cleanses and moisturises the hair without weighing it down, making it perfect prep for styling.
  1. Roughly part three sections of hair and braid from the hairline to just above the nape of the neck.
  1. Secure the braids at the end with clear elastics and bobby pins. Repeat the process on the remaining sections of the hair.
  1. Take the remaining hair and begin to braid, securing at the end with clear elastics.
  1. Finish with TRESemmé Extra Hold Hair Spray to achieve maximum hold with extra flyaway control. It is humidity resistant leaving no stiffness or stickiness, but with flexible hold.
  1. Finally, tease out the braids to give them more of a loose-laidback look. And hey presto! you are now all set for whatever activities you have planned this summer.

So summer is well and truly upon us and the weather forecast is set to be another scorcher this week.

With that in mind, it's important to get your look right when heading into town for the day or out for a night on the tiles.

With summer hair, you want something easy and not too time consuming so you can give it a go in the office after work or even in your tent at a festival.

Sometimes a bad hair day can really let down your whole outfit so we went looking for some easy summer hair trends.

1. The braid
Year in year out, this is a huge summer hair trend and it is even bigger this season. We have seen this style grace a lot of red carpets and we think it would be the perfect beach day look.

2. Beachy waves
This is definitely the easiest of the summer trends as it doesn't require much preparation time. You can either throw your hair in a plait the night before or lightly curl it with the wand before handing a minimal amount of hairspray.

3. The half-up half-down
We know you're thinking Ariana Grande, but we're thinking not quite as high! This style is so handy if you didn't have time to straighten or curl your hair as it just pulls it all back out of view.

4. The wavy high pony
We take our inspiration for this one from our girl Chrissy Teigen. This is the perfect style for a summer night out if you can get it right. It just requires gently curling your hair, however it probably won't be possible for those of us with shorter hair.

5. The messy top knot
This is the perfect I-spent-ages-making-it-look-like-I-didn't-spend-ages-doing-my-hair look…

6. The wavy long bob
This is the moment that long haired people get extremely jealous of those with short hair. The long bob has just become even more stunning with added waves and we are loving it! Oh… and Jessica Alba is literally queen of this style.

Is it a case of ‘long hair, don’t care’ with Beyoncé dramatic new style?!

Or maybe, after a couple of mega rocky weeks, Bey wants a fresh start with a major hair makeover.

The Drunk in Love singer has traded her flowing loose waves for incredibly long, caramel-to-blonde ombre braids.

Bey wore her new ‘do swept to the side, with the locks trailing right down to the top of her thigh in New York earlier this week.

She rocked similar braids earlier this year, and posted a snap with the styled tresses to her Instagram account in January.

But this time Bey has really come over all Rapunzel with this ‘do.

Will this be the style she’s sporting at Kim and Kanye’s wedding this weekend?

As long as she doesn’t upstage the bride, we don’t think Kim will really care either way!
