Boyzlife and Coronation Street star Keith Duffy has revealed that he had to turn down a chance to be on Game of Thrones.

The singer told The Scottish Sun that he was going to audition for a major part, but had to turn it down because of his Boyzlife obligations.

"I was asked to audition for a very big part in season seven of Game Of Thrones last October, but we had already signed up for the Boyzlife tour.

"Brian is like a brother to me and there was no question I would pull out," he said.

"The Boyzlife tours are such good fun. I wouldn't want to miss them for anything."

Keith and Brian McFadden of Westlife fame came together in 2016 to produce Boyzlife, a mix of their former bands, and toured around hotels in Ireland and the UK, where they sang and told stories of their boyband days.

The pair plan to release a track together this year.

He kept his mouth super-glued shut at first, but now Nicky Byrne has opened up about Brain McFadden's Boyzlife.

While speaking to The Irish Daily Star, Nicky revealed that none of his former Westlife bandmates wanted to join the supergroup.

Brian previously insisted that the other members of Westlife and Boyzone were welcome to join in their tour, but Nicky says that that wasn't the case.

“I get on with Brian but the Boyzlife thing was probably sold, maybe by accident, by Brian and Keith thinking that maybe some of us would join, that the door was open for us to join but the reality of it is that none of the members of Westlife were ever going to join,” he told the paper.

Brian also hinted that Boyzlife might see a Westlife reunion, but Nicky said it was "never true."

"I mean that was just never true from our point of view. I wish them the best but it’s not for me,” he said.

The 2FM presenter also insisted that if Westlife ever got back together, it would be for a world tour rather than a tour around hotels in Ireland and England.

“I think if you’re going to have a laugh, tell some stories and sing some songs, why not?”

Last week, Kian Egan gave his two cents on Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy's Boyzlife tour, saying that the whole thing is "really aggrivating."

And now, another member of Westlife has opened up about the tour.

Nicky Byrne spoke out on his 2FM show saying, "I wish them all the best, but it's nothing to do with us."

Keeping it short and sweet, we're guessing Nicky didn't want to start any feuds, since Brian's ex-wife Vogue Williams said that Kian needs to "get a grip" with his comments.

Well, if there were ever hopes of a 5-piece Westlife reunion, they seem to be going down the toilet.

Vogue Williams has slammed “jealous” Kian Egan after he voiced his views on Boyzlife last week.

The Voice of Ireland mentor is clearly not one bit happy about the new band, and when speaking on The Big Breakfast recently, he said they were doing it all wrong.

“It’s not the right way to do it. I think it was pretty unfair on the fans to make them think that [the bands were uniting.]

“It’s a bit of an off one. You know, a member of Westlife who left the band after four years decides to use half the name for whatever it is they’re doing. If Westlife ever got back together again, it would be Weslife. It would be the four guys who stood in Croke Park the day Westlife ended."

However, Kian's words hit a nerve with Brian's ex-wife Vogue Williams, and in her most recent Sunday World column, she gave Kian a piece of her mind.

“It was actually six years and without doubt, the most successful period for the band, including 12 number one singles. Westlife only enjoyed a further two number one singles after Brian left.

“Kian was pretty vocal in his attack. Thinking Brian doesn’t have the right to use the Westlife name is frankly just plain stupid. I suspect that Kian may have a case of the green-eyed monster. In fairness to Kian, I’d be raging too if I hadn’t thought of the idea myself, seeing how successful it’s been."

Ouch! There seems to be no love lost there.

So our favourite Irish boybands are being reincarnated into a new act and while this may seem like the best news ever, but not everyone is happy about it.

Brian McFadden, formerly of Westlife, and Keith Duffy of Boyzone have joined forces and confirmed a Boyzlife tour which will involve performing some of the original groups' greatest hits.

However, Kian Egan is not particularly happy about it.

"From the perspective of someone who spent 15 years in Westlife, it was really aggravating,"  said the Voice judge to OK! Magazine.

"It was really unfair on the fans [because] everybody thought that this was what’s happening, you know that Westlife and Boyzone [were uniting].

"I was scratching my head when I first saw it. It’s a bit of an odd one – a member of Westlife who left the band after 4 years decides to use half the name for whatever it is that they’re doing."

But Brian hit back at the comments on the Late Late Show last night.

"I was actually in Westlife for more than 4 years but maths was never Kian’s thing in fairness.

"A lot of people probably did get confused because a lot of people probably thought we were doing a McBusted."

Keith added: "At the end of the day myself and Brian are after teaming up to do a show and talk about 20 years in the business.

The lads are kicking off their tour in London on October 16 before doing 11 more gigs around Ireland.
