We all know the feeling – you strut out of one shop on top of the world having glided into your usual jeans-size with plenty of room to spare. But by the time you hit store number two you come crashing down again: same size, different brand… and you’re fighting a losing battle with a stubborn zip that refuses to do up.
So it’s no surprise that an astonishing 98 per cent of us wish that every brand used the exact same measurements to size their clothing. That’s not all; the same #PerfectFit survey by Tampax Compak Pearl discovered that 15 per cent of us have burst into tears when we’ve failed to find the perfect-fitting pair of jeans! And the survey says we have to try on at least three pairs before finding ‘the one’.
Still, if jeans are scary (and they most definitely are), white jeans are positively petrifying!
Fear not, however! Tampax has teamed up with jean-queen Donna Ida Thornton to help us all find our perfect-fit white jeans – an item that Vogue, Elle, and Glamour have all touted as being this season’s fashion must-have as part of their campaign to celebrate the New Tampax Compak Pearl,
“White jeans are an absolute summer essential and for SS15 it’s no different. When it comes to wearing white jeans, it’s all about confidence” explains Sydney native Donna who owns three luxury denim boutiques in London, each with large celebrity following.
75 per cent of women in Ireland admitted they would not wear white jeans during their time of the month and let’s be honest, in the past we’ve all worried about the practicalities. Luckily for us and just in time for summer, P&G has come to the rescue with new Tampax Compak Pearl – which adapts to women’s unique inner curves, and offers the best comfort and protection in a stylish, discreet form.
“The last thing you want is to feel held back from wearing your new summer staple because you’re worried about poor period protection,” says Donna. So with your perfect fit period protection covered, you can now focus on finding that perfect pair of jeans.
Here, Donna offers her top tips…
APPLE SHAPES: Like Jennifer Hudson should look for plenty of stretch in a straight leg and a dark wash as they complement curves.
PEAR SHAPES: Like Beyonce should opt for skinny jeans in a high-waisted style – it slims down the hip.
TALL SHAPES: Like Kate Middleton look best in a mid- to low-rise to keep the waist at the right height.
PETITE SHAPES: Like Eva Longoria look great in a high-rise that elongates the legs.
