Prepare yourselves! A NEW Twilight instalment may be on the horizon

Many of us hide our love for the Twilight movies in shame… while the rest of us freely admit we watch them – and admit we’re ashamed.  But the truth is, although we know they’re a bit on the cheesy side, we’ve watched them ALL, glued to the adventures of 116-year old Edward and the raring-to-become-a-vampire Bella.

So we have to say, when we heard there was the possibility of a new Twilight film we felt a lot more excitement than we probably should. Yep, the studio who made the film has said it is not ruling out revisiting the series, providing that author Stephenie Meyer is on board.

Co-chairman of Lionsgate, Patrick Wachsberger revealed in an interview with Screen Daily that bringing the characters back is a definite possibility. “Not a certainty but it's a possibility,” he says. “It's about Stephenie. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we're here for her.”

And it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility that the cast will come back. We haven’t heard much from Taylor Lautner, who played Jacob, so he could very well be enticed to return, while Kristen Stewart, who played Bella, has said she would be “interested” in a new movie.

However, we have our reservations that ‘now serious actor’ R-Patz would reprise his role as moody, brooding Edward.

We’ll live in hope however, because there are many questions we would like answered, like is Renesmee Cullen all grown up? And did she and Jacob get together? And of course, how’s married life for Bella and Edward? Does he help with the washing up? Does he pick his socks off the floor? Are they still in love as ever?

Come on Stephenie, get scribing!
