Model hints at reason behind shock break-up

It came as a surprise when Cristiano Ronaldo and Irina Shayk called an end to their relationship last month after five years together.

While the footballer confirmed their break-up in an official statement, Irina has remained silent on the topic – until now it would seem.

The stunning model spoke with E! News about all things Valentine’s Day and men when she spoke about what she look for in a potential partner: “What I’m looking for in a man is – I think I love honest men and I love a man who is loyal to women. I think this is [the] most important thing in [a] man.”

Ooh, we wonder if this means her ex-boyfriend Cristiano was less than loyal – it certainly sounds like it! 

Rumour had it that the couple called an end to their relationship after Irina refused to attend Cristiano's mum's surprise 60th birthday –  something that was never confirmed nor denied. 

Meanwhile, while Cristiano has been celebrating his Ballon D'Or award, Irina hasn't been taking any breaks; she features in this month's Sports Illustrated looking absolutely gorgeous and striking some serious poses on the beach.
