Love Actually sequel raised €81m for charity and Twitter LOVED it

So, the hotly-anticipated mini sequel of the iconic rom-com, Love Actually, was finally aired last night, and fans loved it.

Red Nose Day raised more than €81,000,000 for Comic Relief through the TV special.

Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Keira Knightley,Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Bill Nighy, Rowan Atkinson and Colin Firth all starred in the 12-minute sequel. 

The sequel was written by Richard Curtis, who was the original writer and director, and Twitter is full of praise of the reboot.

Twitter fans credited the sequel for staying true to the original rom-com while giving it a modern twist. 

However, fans of the late Alan Rickman were sad that the prestigious actor is no longer here to see the sequel, and poignantly reflected on his work and memory. 

Other highlights of the Comic Relief special included Take That’s Carpool Karaoke parody, and a slight slip-up by Ed Sheeran.
