Linkin Park to come together for one-night-only tribute concert

Following the tragic death of Chester Bennington earlier this year, Linkin Park have announced that they will come together for a one-night-only celebration concert in memory of the late singer.

The American rockers will be joined by a host of fellow musicians and promise fans "an unforgettable night of music to honour the man that touched the lives of so many around the world."

A statement posted on the band's official website reads: “Linkin Park announce a special show in honour of Chester. The one-night-only celebration will take place in Los Angeles at the legendary Hollywood Bowl on Friday, October 27, 2017.”

The singer died by suicide at his Los Angeles home on July 20, just days before Linkin Park were due to embark on a North American tour.

His death shocked fans around the world, and in an effort to help others who may be experiencing similar mental health issues, his family have set up a suicide awareness charity.

Tickets for the tribute concert go on sale this Friday, September 22.
