Kristen Bell admits her and Dax are in couple’s therapy

by

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are one of our favourite Hollywood couples for a number of reasons, but we think their latest display of honesty has made us truly relate to them.

Speaking to Good Housekeeping recently, the celeb couple revealed that they go to couple's therapy, not necessarily because they've any massive problems, but to keep themselves on the straight and narrow.

With very matter-of-fact logic, Kristen says: "You do better in the gym with a trainer, you don't figure out how to cook without reading a recipe. Therapy is not something to be embarrassed about."

Preach Kristen, preach!

So in love with each other, the smitten pair are determined to iron out any creases before they become insurmountable obstacles, with Dax saying: "You can't go after nine years and start figuring out what patterns you're in."

Like any couple, Kristen admits that they sometimes struggle to communicate efficiently and need a therapist to help them get their points across.

Elaborating on the role therapy plays in her life, Kristen says: "If something p*sses you off, you've got to find the balls to bring it up immediately, and say it in a way that the other person can hear. Go talk about it with a therapist who can mediate. You'll walk out of the room feeling like you're on the same team."

Acknowledging that the course of true love never runs smoothly, Dax opened up about his impression of Kristen when they first started dating, saying: "There were hurdles, things she didn't trust about me, things I didn't trust about her. I just kept going back to 'This person has the thing I want, and I have to figure out how we can exist peacefully."

Yep, it's happened- we love them even more now.
