Going on holidays soon? You’re in luck…!

We've all secretly (or not-so-secretly!) started planning our summer holidays – and now there's another reason to get excited!

The Loop at Dublin Airport has just opened a new €8 million retail area in Terminal 1, showcasing the best of Irish brands as well as many high-end make-up and perfume brands we can indulge in before we jet off.

The state-of-the-art development, which comprises of 18,300 sq ft of new and improved stores, was constructed from passenger research and is the result of 18 months of hard work.

Speaking about the The Loop in Terminal 1, Paul Neeson, Director of Retail at Dublin Airport says: “Featuring the best of Irish design and Irish and international products, this new retail area will create a fantastic sense of modern Ireland and offer our customers a wonderful shopping experience."

If you like to take the opportunity to stock up on your favourite make-up and perfume brands at the airport then you are going to be very excited indeed as names like MAC, Urban Decay, Chanel, Kielhs and many many more are now on sale at The Loop's new perfume and cosmetics area.

Looking for a nice bottle of wine? The Wine Goose Chase (we LOVE that name) showcases over 70 international wines, but with an Irish twist… Each brand of wine come from vineyards with a distinct Irish heritage – set up by Irish people who left their homeland in the 18th century. What an amazing concept!

If whiskey is more what you're into, then you're in luck. The Irish Whiskey Collection at The Loop features over 365 whiskeys, with 119 Irish varieties and over 200 international brands.

After all that shopping, there's a good chance your sweet tooth may be getting to you… Fear not, it's time for a trip to Candy Cloud at The Loop. This whimsical and magical confectionery shop was partially designed by local school children and even features giant lollipops and marshmallows in the enchanted forest entrance especially for the little ones. Can we have a go?!

Of course, for those who like to shop in advance, they can use Click and Collect to browse and purchase products 12 hours in advance of your flight and pick up your purchases on departure or arrival at the airport.

Shop and Collect also allows customers to purchase items at Dublin Airport before they travel and collect them when they return.
