Friends actress spotted having emotional breakdown in public

Friends star Courteney Cox seems to be going through a difficult time in her life right now.

The actress was spotted looking visibly distressed and upset while talking to a pal in Malibu, California earlier this week. 

The Cougar Town lead burst into tears and held her face in her hands as her friend sat next to her looking downcast.

It's not clear whether the pair were arguing, or if Courteney had received some bad news, but either way the actress appeared drastically different from her usual cheerful self.

Dressed casually and with very little make-up, Courteney looked stunned as she spoke to her friend. 

Later it seemed as if the meeting may have turned into a heated discussion, as she began to become more animated and upset:

The actress got engaged to Snow Patrol frontman Johnny McDaid last June and announced the news on Twitter by sharing a sweet photo of the pair with the caption, "I got engaged to him!"

Although she has yet to reveal the wedding date, Courteney admits she has begun planning – although her ten-year-old daughter Coco is the most excited about it. "Coco spends more time thinking about the wedding than I do," she told Us Weekly recently.

We really hope that whatever Courtney is going through is nothing that can't be solved with the help of a few good friends and family members.
