“Everybody Loves Raymond” child actor Sawyer Sweeten dies at 19

Sawyer Sweeten spent much of his childhood starring as Geoffrey Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond which ran from 1996 until 2005.

Sadly, he has committed suicide at the age of 19 on April 23 in Texas.

Sweeten's sister, Madylin has said in a statement: "This morning a terrible family tragedy has occurred.”

She then added: "We are devastated to report that our beloved brother, son, and friend, Sawyer Sweeten, took his own life. He was weeks away from his 20th birthday. At this sensitive time, our family requests privacy and we beg of you to reach out to the ones you love.”

The star had been visiting his family in Texas when the incident took place.

He starred in the popular tv show alongside his real life twin brother and older sister. He was only a year-and-a-half old when he made his first appearance.
