Ed Sheeran will be getting ANOTHER award for his collection

by

At age 16 Ed Sheeran decided to drop out of school so he could spend more time dedicated to his music career. We feel like we’re not the only ones who might say he made a good call.

The chart-topping singer has been the recipient of many awards over the last year alone, and now he’s going to be adding another accolade to his mantel piece.

The University Campus Suffolk are honouring the 24-year old with a degree to recognise his outstanding contribution to music.

Ed said about the award: “I'm really grateful to University Campus Suffolk and I'm honoured to receive this Honorary Degree. I've had an amazing year with my world tour and this makes it even better.”

Ed has added that he would do his best to continue to support the university as they have done in the past for him and his music, reports the Daily Mail.

“Suffolk is very much where I call home and I'm always welcomed back and get so much support. Receiving this recognition is a real privilege.”

The Don’t singer has mentioned that he looks forward to “building links” with the university in the future.

This news comes just days after Ed hit the headlines when he unveiled his new giant tattoo.

The pop star was inundated with questions and queries when the media just couldn’t begin to fathom what prompted his decision.

He took to twitter to set the record straight. He said he couldn’t understand “all this kerfuffle over a tattoo”.

He got the ink in order to commemorate his sell-out gigs at Wembley stadium and first revealed the body art in an Instagram post captioned “Halfway and ouch.”

We can only imagine, it is quite the piece of art.
